The redevelopment of the Bandon Co-op involved the transformation and modernisation of an existing retail facility to better serve the evolving needs of its customers and the wider community. The project focused on reconfiguring internal layouts to improve circulation, enhance product display areas, and create a more efficient and user-friendly shopping environment. Key elements of the works included upgrades to building services, façade improvements to provide a refreshed and contemporary appearance, and the integration of improved back-of-house facilities to support operational efficiency. Careful consideration was given to maintaining continuity of operations where possible, while delivering a high-quality retail space aligned with modern co-operative retail standards. The redevelopment ultimately resulted in a more functional, visually appealing, and commercially viable store that strengthens the Co-op’s presence in Bandon.
