Michael Barrett Partnership
At Michael Barrett Partnership, our focus is on delivering a personal service with cost certainty, transparency, and value for money, ensuring that every project we manage is completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
We are one of the South of Ireland’s leading quantity surveying and cost consultancy practices, with a proven track record of delivering total cost management on many of the region’s largest and most complex construction projects. Since the practice began in 2000, we have grown into a team of 14 professionals.
Our expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including retail, commercial, leisure, healthcare, education, and industrial projects, as well as specialist experience in the conservation of historic buildings.
We work with a diverse client base that includes construction companies, government agencies, local authorities, schools, universities, hospital boards, recreational groups, commercial corporations, and private developers.
Our approach combines the expertise and personal involvement of our partners with the resources and technical capabilities of a modern consultancy practice. By leveraging the latest cost management and risk assessment software, supported by the expertise of our in-house quantity surveyors, we provide clear, accurate, and timely advice at every stage of the project life cycle—from feasibility and procurement to cost control, valuation, and final account.

Portloaise GAA Club Redevelopment
We are proud to support Portlaoise GAA Club on the redevelopment of their club facilities, generously supported by Maryse and Travis Knight in commemoration of Maryse’s beloved brother and nephew, Eoin and Dylan Fitzpatrick who tragically lost their lives in a road traffic accident in Turkey in July 2023.
This redevelopment is about community, legacy and creating a space where future generations can come together, grow and thrive.
Michael Barrett Partnership is proud to be involved in this project. As Quantity Surveyors, we are managing and monitoring all financial aspects of the redevelopment — from cost planning to budget control — ensuring it is delivered within budget and aligned with the quality and standards set by the project team. We are grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to a project that celebrates the lives of Eoin and Dylan and supports the continued strength and spirit of Portlaoise GAA Club.
Kerry Airport Opens New Arrivals Hall
This was an exciting project to be involved in with Coughlan DeKeyser Architects, from the early design stages right through this two-stage project, which was executed while the main airport remained fully operational. The opening of the new arrivals hall will enhance the passenger experience and support the future growth of Kerry Airport.
