The project involved the sensitive conversion of seven historic vaulted spaces into a fully functional medical centre incorporating doctors’ and nurses’ rooms, ECG, eye and hearing rooms, as well as office, meeting, and staff welfare facilities. Careful consideration was given to the preservation of the existing building fabric, with all new interventions designed to be reversible, ensuring the long-term integrity of the protected structure. Delivered within a busy urban environment, the project required complex phasing, rerouting of existing services, and strict health and safety management.
